"Charis" is the greek word for “kindness,” but which is most often translated as “grace” in the scriptures. I started substituting the word “kindness” for “grace” and the results were interesting.

When we pray, we often don't seem to get an answer. We assume we've asked something that is not God's will. Well maybe that's not really the issue.

What would you have me do for you?
I was meditating on this story, imagining myself there as one in the crowd. It was like a lucid dream, where I was in the story, and yet in control of it’s movement—until a certain point. Then the whole thing took an unexpected turn.

Would I Stone Someone?
Jesus would either reject the scriptures—branding himself as a heretic—or join them to kill a woman in front of everyone. This would be a perfect image—Jesus hurling stones at a woman until the brutal and bloody act took her life.

Can I see beyond the bugs?
Do I walk by faith? Really? What I focus upon determines what I see. What I see determines how I live. Walking by faith is about shifting my focus, to see beyond the bugs.

I asked Jesus, what can I do?
I came to Jesus asking, "what can I do?" He asked me, "will you be my friend?" I replied, "I will do whatever you ask." He did not reply and there was a long pause.
