Declaring the scriptures

Declarations – Ephesians 1

What if I declared the scriptures as if they were true and applied directly to me? They do apply to me, yes? Then I can declare them as so. When I speak them aloud, they seem impossible. My soul protests–no, this is not how I really am, or how things really are. And yet, God says they are. By declaring them aloud I remind my mind and my soul that God’s words are true. Declarations help align my perspective with God’s, and this is always a good thing. Here are some excerpts from Ephesians 1, reworded as declarations of truth.

I have been made holy, by being one with Jesus.

Father releases grace over me. He imparts total well-being into my life.

Father lavishes upon me every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. They are his love gifts to me. I am wrapped into Christ, and celebrate my union with him with all my heart.

He chose me to be his very own, joining me to himself before he created the universe. He ordained me, predestined me to be holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence.

I am his adopted child, and one with Jesus. Father’s tremendous love cascades over me and glorifies his grace. He loves me with the same love that he loves Jesus.

Through my union with Christ, Father claims me as his own inheritance. Before I was born, he destined me to fulfill his plan, and gave me his Spirit as a seal and promise of my total redemption and union with him.
